Codes and conventions of a Thriller

The codes and conventions of a Thriller are bascically more sound and editing based. For example quick cut and fast camera angle changes, fast music and tension when appropriate. Lighting is also key, especailly things like shadows. Things that play on the audiences mind as to whats happening or what they think is going to happen is also key to the codes and conventions of a Thriller. Normally, the things that would play on peoples minds are things life claustrophobic spaces in films that play a big part of it. For example 'Flightplan' was set on a plain; 'Kill Bill' the coffin and 'Phonebooth' was set obviously in a phonebooth
